Twilight Bella's Mittens

They are finished! These awesome mittens are made to look like the ones Bella wears just before being rescued from a car crash by the gorgeous and delicious vampire, Edward. I will be making  another pair in a less hairy wool blend as the alpaca wool seemed to loosed the awesomeness of the cable pattern. These are available at http://www.simondesign.etsy.com!

Free Crochet Pattern!

I though I would start my blog off with a free very easy crochet pattern! Enjoy!
This pattern is for beginners.

Children’s Simple Beanie Pattern 2T- 4T

Gauge  (Please check gauge for best results)

7 dc = 2 inches

3 rows = 2 inches

If you need a smaller or larger size just change the size of the crochet hook used. 

Materials

1 skein of TLC Essentials Yarn in Choco Cherry for Girls

1 skein f TLC Essentials Yarn in Meadow for Boys

(or any worsted weight yarn of your choice)

Size K Crochet hook

Abbreviations

Dc = double crochet

Sl st = slip stitch

Ch  = chain

St = stitch

Pattern

Row 1: Ch 4, 11 dc in last ch from hook, sl st to top of beginning ch 3. Ch 3 acts as first dc.(12 dc)

Row 2: ch 3, dc in same st as chain, 2 dc in each previous dc, sl st to top of ch 3. (24 dc)

Row 3: ch 3, dc in same st as chain, *1 dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc, repeat from *, sl st to top of ch 3. (36 dc)

Row 4: ch 3, dc in same st as chain, *1 dc in next 2 dc, 2 dc in next dc, repeat from *, sl st to top of ch 3. (48 dc)

Row 5 - 11: ch 3, 1 dc in each dc all around, sl st to top of ch 3. (48 dc). Fasten off. Weave in ends.
